Four castles, four websites and four pricing systems. This page puts the 2026 official prices side by side, explains Chambord’s two rates and compares the combined tickets sold by our partner Tiqets with the single tickets. We read the official sites on 22 October 2026, and prices can change.

Chambord’s two rates
For 2026 Chambord charges 21 euros to citizens and residents of the European Economic Area, with proof, and 31 euros to everyone else; the reduced rates are 18.50 and 28.50 euros. Both are valid to 31 December 2026. The UK and Switzerland are not in the EEA, so they pay the higher rate.
Tiqets shows the 21 euro price. We could not check what Tiqets charges a non-EEA visitor, because the data we read gives a single price. If you are not an EEA resident, look at the total at checkout before you pay.
Combined tickets and passes on Tiqets
Our partner Tiqets sells several combinations. Here is how they compare with the single tickets at the prices we saw on 22 October 2026. Chambord is counted at 21 euros.
| Combination | Tiqets price | Single tickets | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amboise + Clos Lucé | 36.18 euros | 37.30 euros | 1.12 euros less |
| Amboise + Clos Lucé + Chenonceau | 54.61 euros | 56.30 euros | 1.69 euros less |
| Chambord + Chenonceau + Clos Lucé | 60 euros | 60 euros | Same |
| Chambord + Amboise | 37.15 euros | 38.30 euros | 1.15 euros less |
| Clos Lucé + Amboise + Chambord | 64.88 euros | 58.30 euros | 6.58 euros more |
| Loire Valley Châteaux Pass (Chambord, Chenonceau, Blois) | 52.50 euros | 56 euros | 3.50 euros less |
The savings are small, and the Clos Lucé, Amboise and Chambord combination costs more than buying the three tickets separately. A combined ticket is mainly a convenience: one booking, one confirmation. The Tiqets packages are not cancellable, while single tickets can be cancelled up to the date of the visit, per Tiqets. Chambord’s own site says that its combined tickets are sold online only, not at the ticket office.
Extras that change the price
- Chambord: the HistoPad guide costs 6.50 euros, or 17 euros for three in a family. The Chambord Passport, with the HistoPad and a horse show, costs 38 euros for an EEA adult and 48 euros for a non-EEA adult. Parking is 8 euros a day.
- Chenonceau: the audio guide adds 5 euros. There is a free official app.
- Clos Lucé: a family of two adults and two children pays 60 euros.
- Amboise: the HistoPad is included, in 12 languages.
Who enters free
Free entry rules differ for each castle and are listed on their official sites. At Chambord, children under 18 and EU citizens under 26 enter free. At Chenonceau and Clos Lucé, children under 7 enter free, as at Amboise.
Which tickets should you buy?
If you visit one castle, buy a single ticket, from the official site or from Tiqets, and compare the totals. If you visit Amboise and Clos Lucé on the same day, which we suggest in our two-day plan, the combined ticket is a convenient option. Opening hours change by season, so read when to visit the Loire before you pick a date.
