Chenonceau is open every day of the year, including 25 December and 1 January. The hours change with the season, and these are the 2026 hours: when we checked, the official site had published nothing for 2027. The official site gives no last-entry time.
Opening hours for every month are on the Opening hours page.

Book tickets →The official hours give an opening and a closing time, and no last-entry time. The “Today” box on this site therefore uses the closing time as its limit. Plan to arrive well before closing, especially on short winter days, when the château closes at 16:30.
In 2026 the official site lists longer hours, 9:00 to 19:00, over the Easter weekend (4–6 April), 1–3 May, 8–10 May, the Ascension weekend (14–17 May) and the Whitsun weekend (23–25 May). The dates change every year.
